I always use Walmart's online ordering for non food merchandise, but I had not ventured into the grocery online ordering before now. Online ordering is so convenient, you get just what you want and it's there waiting for you to pick it up! So why not try out the grocery pick up?
There are several things that make grocery shopping a pain, one of those being your ice cream melting, especially this time of year. As you shop around the store with your frozen foods in your shopping cart they just get softer and softer. Then when you get home to stick them back in the freezer you can end up with not so appealing desserts. What was on my shopping list?

- New Magnum® Tubs
- New Good Humor® Reese’s ice cream bars
- New Breyers® 2 in 1 ice cream products
- Klondike® ice cream bars
Using the Walmart online Ordering was very easy. You can either order from your computer or download the App. To add items to your cart, you simply type the item in your search bar and add them to you cart.
When I finished my shopping, I went to checkout and had the opportunity to choose a pickup time. When your pick up time arrives you will get a notification via e-mail and on your App, if you have downloaded it. You will also have a button to tell them you are on your way and tell them what color your car is.This all makes it easier for them to get your groceries to you quickly and efficiently. When pulling up to the store you will see orange pick up signs directing you to the Online Grocery pick up parking. Once you park you have the choice to either call and let them know you have arrived or with your App it's just a click of a button.
Once I arrived at our local Walmart I clicked the button on my App letting know I was there. I had a gentleman come to my car and verify my name to ensure I received my correct order. A few minutes later he was back out with my order. As he was loading up, he did let me know that there was a product substitution. These substitutions can be accepted or you can have them removed. The substitution was the same price and similar to the product I ordered so no worries!
This campaign focused on Unilever frozen dessert products. Some of our family favorites are Klondike Choco Taco's to the Popsicle Fruit Pops! Shopping for these products online is so easy and takes no time at all. My family came out of the wood work when I came home with these goodies. Even my 16 year old son was bribed into photos!
When you are shopping in the store, in my experience you either forget your list or you keep seeing things that you don't need , but you add to them to your cart, making your shopping trip longer and more expensive (all while your ice cream is melting). Why not forget about the shopping list, download the Walmart grocery Pick Up App and add what you need to your virtual shopping cart as you need it. Then when you are ready to pick up your order, pay, schedule your pickup time and let someone else do the work. They even load it in you car.
